Hi all, sorry I have been MIA.
I lost my log in info!!! I just wanted everyone to know I am in the land of the living.
I took my 2 older girls to the vet for their annual checkup. They are both healthy for a couple of old broads. I was embarrassed because Annie bit the vet!! Oh well, he had a good sense of humor about it.
Have a good evening!

Vacation is around the corner!
Hey everyone! Sorry I have been a slacker and my blog seems a bit- well, unorganized.I am still trying to get in a groove. I will tweak it and add more stuff this weekend.
Let's see, my girls kept me up all night and I am pooped. That is OK, I still love them. I may even take a "sick" day tomorrow to bond with them.
Oh yes, VACATION begins Friday at 4:59 PM!! Woohoo!!

Lazy Sunday
Well, I had a fairly good night sleep. All 3 of the cats slept with me at the same time and I am proud to say there were no cat fights, hissing, growling and I did not shed one drop of blood. I will say, I had to sleep like a sideshow contortionist! I am a little stiff.
It is a really pretty day here, I think I may fill up the bird feeders so the cats can have entrainment. Don't worry, they are inside kitties, but I have my bird feeders set up in front of the windows.
Please check out my new photo gallery- it is a work in progress!

Kitty litter changing day!! woohoo!!!
Kitty litter changing day!! woohoo!!!
Well, it is really pretty here in Georgia today. My girls are happy because I changed their kitty litter- they are so cute when I change their litter box, they line up and patiently take turns!
So far we had a busy morning, I got my car serviced, went to my second job, then to the bank, Kroger and now I am home watching CSI Miami on demand and eating a Hotpocket. Isn't life wonderful???
I plan to spend time with my kitties today as well.
what are your plans?

Well, I have been doing rescue for many years, but for the past 3 months or so I am starting to question if I still want to do this anymore.
I am (was) on some message boards in the Atlanta area, I have noticed a lot of pettiness and judgemental behavior towards people who have lost their homes and need to find placement for their pets. In one particular post, a woman lost her home and I guess she thought they were working out a resolution to save her home, but at the last minute she was forced out and was scrambling to find a home the same day she being evicted. The woman who posted an emergency adoption/foster for the ladies pets who extremely judgemental and cruel. I pointed out to her that she was being judgemental and unfair and did not know the entire story or circumstances as they only received the information 3rd hand , then she and all of her friends starting attacking me verbally , sending rude emails and were very condescending. It truly hurt my feelings to the point I question why I do what I do.
Obviously those women have never lost a home or a job!
I see their point, we are all over stressed, too many animals and not enough homes and they should have had more of a notice- but life happens and we shouldn't judge or attack people who have a different point of view.
After that, I question if what I am doing is making a difference at all. I am confident I will work through this and not let those "women" take my joy and love of rescuing and helping animals away.

Hi there, It has been a very long week here in Atlanta. It has been hot, we have had the worse gas shortage in 30 years and I am really pooped. Thankfully I go on vacation in a few days and the weekend is near!
